Description

This extremely finely woven silk Hereke prayer rug depicts a stylized vase within an arch containing floral elements and birds in shades of red, light gold, orange, olive, beige and umber.

The arches and the body of the vase are two of the areas where the weavers used yarns wrapped in gold and silver.
