Malayer
Description
The renowned Arak weaving district is found in the Malayer region of Northwestern Iran. Produced on a village loom, this antique rug is woven of hand-spun, vegetable- dyed wool.
Ivory scrolling vines on a navy field convey a sense of dimension and movement, while the underlying harmony of color and design create an effect of negative space that is restful to the eye.
You’ll find this rug in excellent condition, and pleasantly fleecy to the touch.
