Tabriz on Silk

Description

This contemporary masterpiece from Tabriz has an elaborate vase design in vegetable-dyed shades of light green, yellow, apricot, blue, coral, indigo, burgundy and ivory on a brick red field.  The pile is densely knotted wool on silk warps.
